These managers need to ensure that their employees know what is expected of them. They must also effectively communicate the company's goals and strategies as well as frequently provide feedback to their employees. Managers must also trust their employees to allow them autonomy in their work roles. Coaching provided by a manager along with goal setting and feedback is an effective means of encouraging employee growth and job satisfaction. I appreciated having a manager who believed in performance management. Unfortunately, he was the only manager I ever had who did something like that. For me this was a great growth opportunity. I was able to gain a deeper understanding of how my work fits into the company's strategies. Even though I kept the same job, my level of job satisfaction
