Cloud computing is rapidly increasing at a remarkable rate among businesses, including small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). SMBs have found some attributes of cloud computing quite beneficial, including communication and collaboration along with infrastructure as a service (IaaS). It is reported that communication and collaboration are two important attributes for SMEs and these can be easily achieved with cloud computing. Cloud computing offers an avenue for simple and effective methods of collaboration between employees, partners, customers and all other business stakeholders to ensure efficiency and keep the business running smoothly. There is an expectation of growth in the use of cloud computing among SMEs due to the flexibility and agility it offers. The company is also able to achieve its goals in terms of collaboration and communication, resulting in saving time and money and ultimately gaining a competitive advantage. The need for this service has also become necessary with the growing use of BYOD in businesses (Tejada, 2014). There are several reasons why individuals and businesses engage in collaboration using the cloud. This is mainly due to the widespread use of mobile devices, now more than ever.
