It was a really sweet and memorable family reunion. I got to know the mother's side of the family and they really liked me, so it wasn't too scary. After we managed to catch up on what they had missed over the years, we decided to go to the aquarium. The aquarium was located in New Orleans, Louisiana, about an hour or two hour drive away, if I remember correctly. Being able to drive for another two hours didn't seem so bad after driving for 10 hours straight. During the trip the weather was nice and sunny until we reached downtown New Orleans. Driving around downtown was an amazing experience as I got to look at all the cute buildings. Many of these buildings look like they are from the Disney movie based on New Orleans. There were buildings with balconies and they had a dark atmosphere that reminded you of how much of an impact voodoo had there. Once we reached Bourbon Street, the rain began to pour down. The streets were starting to flood and you could see all these people walking on the sidewalks trying to get to higher ground as the water was starting to rise up to their knees.
