IntroductionLeadership is defined as the art of influencing others for the successful achievement of organizational goals and objectives (Bryman and Parry, 2013). In a sense, leaders are considered an organization's most valuable resource as they are responsible for shaping employee behavior to pursue the organization's shared goals and objectives. According to Bass (1990), leaders within an organization have a transformative effect as they help employees distinguish between what is right and wrong, good and bad, beautiful and ugly, as well as important and unimportant. The main goal of leaders within an organization is to develop employees' self-interest while helping followers to deliver exceptional results. Considering the importance of leadership within an organization, the report focuses on evaluating effective and desirable leadership characteristics. Furthermore, the document includes a critical evaluation of the idea that different leadership skills and key competencies are necessary for national and international leadership. Leadership Concepts Leadership is simply the ability to inspire others to pursue the organization's strategic goals and objectives, to that end. a measure that becomes a mutually shared effort and vision. Therefore, leadership can be defined as the art of influencing others to improve the individual's performance and productivity in achieving organizational tasks and objectives (Mielach, 2012). This implies that leadership is the ability to step out of the comfort zone to initiate a process of revolutionary change within the organization. Meanwhile, Peter Drucker defined leadership as the art of having followers (Riggio, 2009). Therefore leaders are at the center of the card. Characteristics considered desirable help a leader become effective, regardless of the nature and size of operations. A leader must possess exceptional communication skills to maintain a meaningful relationship with followers. For this reason, the integrity of a leader is essential to ensure the reliability necessary for the follower to depend on the leader. A leader must be self-aware and confident to make constructive use of his skills to establish motivation with a positive attitude among his followers. Following leaders does not imply that they must be mindless but that they must possess the intellect to understand and share goals with their leaders. To be a desirable leader, you must have a notable level of tolerance for dealing with expected ambiguity. In short, his character is actually transferred to the followers.
