The Republican and Democratic parties of American politics have many differences and even similarities in opinions on many topics. Such as marijuana use, same-sex marriage, and privacy. These topics are quite relevant to today's interests and will be described and analyzed by me in this essay, determining which party I would vote for in the elections. First of all, the compelling topic of the legal use of marijuana. Personally marijuana doesn't mean much to me, I don't feel like using it, especially since it is currently illegal. However, in my opinion, the right to smoke marijuana recreationally should be respected. The American government spends more time and money fighting drugs and wasting taxpayer dollars that could be used to pay our debt or other government expenses. Many different studies show that marijuana is much less harmful than everyone thought, in fact, it is much less harmful than other drugs or alcohol. Now, within the political position, Republicans absolutely hate marijuana. They believe it should not be used for medical purposes either...
