Schools that have implemented smartphone use in schools can provide students with some success-oriented apps. However, these apps vary by platform. iPhone Apps (Ng, 2013), identified several useful iPhone apps for school.1. Astrid Tasks/To-do List: It's like having your own personal assistant as it allows you to create a perfect to-do list. Tasks can be organized using voice memos, reminders, lists that can be accessed anywhere by simply syncing them with Astrid.com. Collaboration and communication are effective strategies used in classrooms and this App allows students to collaborate and work on projects and then share them via email or social networking sites.2. Wolfram Alpha: allows the user to obtain always up-to-date and accurate information on various topics. For example, when used in Geography, the app continues to add data and is quite similar to an encyclopedia. It also has the ability to generate reports that can be used in assignments.3. Room: Convert your iPhone into an eBook reader. It also provides a wide range of eBooks that can be used in school.4. Notability: Take notes and annotate Dropbox Sync PDFs. This app allows users to perform tasks such as recording lectures. It also integrates handwriting, provides PDF annotations, typing, recording and organization in one place. This makes it easier to take notes both inside and outside the classroom.5. SugarSync: Allows students to access all study-related information using their iPhone. Similar to Dropbox features in that students are able to sync all their files, share folders, and access them directly from their smartphone or any other device synced with the app.Android AppAn...... middle of paper. .. ...ayed which helps students remember it more easily.7. Shakespeare: This app contains 41 Shakespearean plays and 154 sonnets to view on your iPhone or iPad. It also contains a glossary and provides details about the locations and characters in each act.8. World Atlas: This app is especially useful for geography lessons or general knowledge.
