Heroes are seen as brave, superior, courageous, important leaders who seek victory against evil or as someone who saves the day and does good deeds. Harry and Taran are two boys who inherit these traits along with others that might make you question their heroics. While these kids share many similar traits, they also have many differences, which make them the true heroes that they are. Both boys are ordinary eleven-year-olds whose lives have not been very extraordinary. Neither of them were born heroes, as they grew up in orphanages without knowing who their real parents were. Having such a modest upbringing is a result of the fact that each boy made many mistakes and broke the rules during his travels. Although every mistake was always fixed and organized, and most of the rule violations came from them trying to do the right thing. The first time Harry and Taran were both seen as heroic was when they each tried to save a girl, Harry when he saved Hermione from the troll and Taran when he saved Eilonwy in the tunnel.
