The new era in the history of China in the 20th century, and in particular for the Chinese healthcare system, is considered to be the beginning of the 1980s, immediately after the introduction of the reform in the country of the free market economy. To understand what the impacts of these reforms have been on the healthcare system, it is necessary to have a brief overview of the healthcare system that operated before the market economy reform in the country. During China's so-called "planned economy period" from 1949 to 1978, every person had equal access to basic health services. In urban areas, workers received health services based on subsidies from state-owned enterprises (SOEs), as well as family members of SOE employees and pensioners, which was called Employment Insurance Plan (LIS), and for other urban residents social groups such as government employees, disabled veterans, teachers and others the Government Insurance Scheme (GIS) was applied (Blomqvist 2008; Chu 2002). The CMS financing scheme included the assessment of the premium, depending on the benefit structure of the plan and the economic status of the local community, the collective welfare fund and subsidies from the higher-level government... middle of the document ... inserted into STATA 11 and a dataset was created.2.4. List of main variablesThe utilization rate (%) of hospital beds was chosen for the dependent variable of the study. As independent variables NRCMS, URBMI, UEBMI, GDP growth rate (%), Total health expenditure (%) of GDP, Public health expenditure.2.5. Data AnalysisThe main data is analyzed with STATA 11. Descriptive analysis of the dependent variable Utilization rate (%) of hospital beds shows that it has a mean of 70.22 with a standard deviation of 10.01, the number of observations ( years) is 24. Time series line graphs are used to observe and interpret trends in the use of healthcare services during a specified period of time (time unit = one year). Line graphs are also used to observe trends in changes in the independent variables over the same period of time that changes in the dependent variable were observed.
