The changes in the Radley household were dramatic from start to finish because the book was constantly changing and new things would pop up or change in the story. One thing to note about the Radley house is that the doors are only closed when it's cold or Boo is sick. Another thing that makes the place superstitious is that the shutters and doors of the house were only ever closed on Sundays. This maybe people believe she was alien or that a superstitious figure lived in the house and people thought Boo didn't exist. The only one who didn't believe it was Scout because he wasn't sure Boo existed. Boo also bore the name of being the "malevolent ghost" of Maycomb. The house had changed before, for example, the only time anyone asked Atticus if the house ever had screens was before Atticus was born. To support why I think the house changes here, the book's paragraph, "The shutters and doors of the Radley house were closed on Sundays, another thing foreign to Maycomb customs: closed doors only meant sickness and cold Of all days, Sunday was the day of formal afternoon visits: women wore corsets, men had coats, children had to wear But walking up the steps of the Radley house and shouting "Hey" on a Sunday afternoon was something the their neighbors never did. I once asked Atticus if Atticus had ever had any before I was born." This means that many things have changed since Atticus was born because some changes were minor and some remained the same, such as the closing of the shutters and door of the Radley on Sunday. But there was something about this house that made everyone think because Maycomb was a quiet and pleasant place to live... middle of paper... I have always Boo just wanted to have someone to call a friend that's why he suffers from loneliness . While he may have been involved in the fires and other acts committed in Maycomb, he wasn't like everyone said about being a night monster or a heartless person. Boo was a normal human being who lived in his own world for a long time until he came out of his shell when he and Scout met on Halloween night. The change that occurs in the Radley household is dramatic. Boo goes from being the town's "night ghost" to being a hero at the end. Ultimately, how Scout had the courage to walk up to the Radleys' porch was because Scout believed that Boo was a great hero for what he had done. Another reason Scout had driven Boo home was to go see Jem who had been there since Boo had brought him home from the fight that night. Scout saw Boo as a positive thing at the end of the story.
