The popular song says, “Simply the best, better than all the rest”; comparing both candidates critically and consistently, under which political administration in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas did Bahamians have more power, is it under the Christie administration or the Ingraham administration? You often hear those famous words projected by the people of the Bahamas, “I vote for the PLP”, or “I vote for the FNM, others may decide not to vote, saying that neither has done a good job; both political parties are been ridiculed and examined under the microscope. Although the Christie administration has implemented good ideas for better Bahamas, their promises have never been fulfilled to the extent of the Ingraham administration Bahamian corporations have effectively empowered the Bahamian people. They were more consistent than the Christie administration and perhaps more productive; pledging allegiance to the Bahamian people, ensuring that these benefits go to the young, the elderly and the infirm. education is one of the most powerful tools and is a major developmental characteristic that any individual can achieve. Under the Ingraham administration, Bahamians progressed through tertiary and secondary education. Regarding tertiary education, the Educational Guarantee Loan was established in 2000 (reference). Many Bahamians have profited from the educational loan implemented by the Ingraham administration, some even calling it a social benefit; because it opened doors to many, without conditions of class or status.
