I agree with what Rituparna Eliot is portraying, an image in the poem that deals with the desperation of society. The preludes present artistic and articulated ideas and feelings, but as with a story, the plot of the poem jumps around and leaves an unclear message to the audience. After reaching the final stanza, a notable change occurs in the story. In examining the poem's completion dates, I noticed that the different stanzas were constructed in separate years. The first two preludes were written between 1909 and 1910 at Harvard. The third section was composed in Paris within a year, and the fourth prelude was composed in London in 1911. Although the poem is believed to be a connected prelude, the story appears to be told over the course of a period. Mainly because of the different views and conflicting ideas, although Eliot's main perspective was the period of a day. The first two written sections suspected the presence of a main character.
