Each ad can have different effects on different people depending on the consumer's mood and even where they are in life. One person may see an ad and it creates a desire for them that they didn't know they had, while someone else may see the exact same ad and become offended. Advertisements can have a negative impact on how people see themselves and the expectations they feel they need to meet. An example of this is the constant vision of your face on the perfect body type, a stylized model with perfect skin and impossible curves. Seeing these models in all aspects of advertising gives women this false sense of what they need to look like and the discouragement of never getting there. The younger generation grows up with a lack of self-esteem and constantly fails to be happy with what they have, always focusing energy on the negative. What is not realized is that these people usually look nothing like what is presented through the media. They are ordinary people who have been victims of Photoshop to the extreme. The advertising that you can find now is very interesting, showing the initial photo taken and then the finished product that we consumers arrive at
