Both sexes have the freedom to explore their abilities and interests without judgment from the opposite sex. Critics of single-gender education worry that single-gender education does not prepare students for the “real world.” They are worried that by separating students by gender, it will put them at a disadvantage trying to navigate a world full of the opposite sex. Because women and men will need to interact in the workplace, school can be an environment where gender differences are understood.
