Topic > My reasons for studying literature - 524

In my opinion, the main reasons for studying literature are to improve our command of the language, exercise our brains and know that we are not alone. I think literature not only benefits our education by building our vocabulary, increasing our reading skills, and most importantly, improving our understanding of literature. Literature not only increases your knowledge but also exercises your brain. Literature is very important in our society because if you can't read or write you won't get far in life. Literature can make you feel things that people cannot feel, for example while reading a book the descriptions can be so vivid that you may even feel like you are there and part of the story. The power of literature is incredible. Finally, when you read a book or story it can make you feel like you are there, and you will build a connection with that piece of literature, making you feel like you are not alone because you will always have your books to turn to, even if your friends turn to you. they left. Literature can incredibly improve your grammar, as well as your ability to read and write. They make you more knowledgeable about everything, because if you can't read and/or write you won't be able to do many things. Literature is everywhere we go, such as shop signs, street signs, menus, manuals, social networks and anything educational. Knowing how to read and write is a need, not a desire. As much as teenagers say they don't need school and act like they don't need literature, we do. Many of us couldn't do half the things we do without literature and we would be illiterate and ignorant. Do we really want to live in a world like this? Without further mastering our language we would have gotten nowhere. Furthermore, literature exercises our brain and makes it work. It makes your brain work to understand the meaning of things and also examine them. It forces you to work and think about things, in ways you normally wouldn't. It also helps you expand your vocabulary, which makes your brain think because you need to know and realize the meaning of a word to fully understand a piece of literature. It's really amazing how literature can make you think so hard, and at the same time please you and make you feel happy.
