Pop CultureA variety of different genres make up what we read, listen to, and watch in society. Each theme tells a different aspect of how a book is told. These personal thoughts come from an individual's writing style. Their writings reflect on what the theme is based on. Themes are classified according to different subjects in the world. Each theme tends to reflect their society and the way history has been made. Pop culture is an important topic that many people read about. This is a culture that describes the taste and lifestyle of most people around the world. Pop culture changes as generations are created. Some examples include grown-up TV actors or different types of music we listen to. Stories in pop culture have had an impact on our society. Pop culture readings often try to persuade readers to see what opinions they should express. A story that is a good example is one by Christine Seifert titled “Bite Me! (Or not): Twilight as withdrawal porn. This situation involved couples romanticizing each other without having sex. According to Seifert, he explained well when talking about Stephanie Meyers and her Twilight series. It talks about how Bella and Edward had a deep relationship, but in the series there was no sex involved. Additionally, once they actually had sex, many readers were disappointed that Meyer added the sexual part of the relationship into the series. Most of his fans thought he was doing a good job of maintaining the sexual aspects of a relationship. From my perspective, I think it was a nice… middle of paper… right. Most people would think one thing when the entire situation says another. The media should be given credit for misinformation. This means telling people that everything the media says is never true. The clothes we wear and the shows we watch reflect what helps say who we truly are. The media have the good taste to provide us with observations on the latest trends of the moment. We are able to embrace a certain type of taste in music and TV shows thanks to our pop culture. Perhaps the easiest thing to do right now is watch pop culture progress to better things and see how it may have changed as time goes on. Everything we perceive as a whole tells us how we live. Without pop culture, people wouldn't know how to look into the future. It would not be a good idea to classify pop culture as a reputation for people.
