As shown in the image there is a white man in the shadows, while the black man looks at him from the corner of his eye. From that image the black man seems as if he is reluctant to go back or listen to the words coming from the shadows. He is confused whether he should become more independent or listen to the power that has led this country, controlled society and people. From that thought he begins to think about the importance of his own personal value and to interpret how his life can progress from this. Rather than following the traditional rules of society through the white man, the black man begins to realize the power of his pride and worth, ultimately leading him to discover his true worth.
