Personal Review This program comes later in my life and career, so I thought long and hard about my motivation for undertaking it. My main reason is that I still firmly believe that, even at this mature stage, this will open up opportunities that were previously closed. Working for 15 years as a higher education trainer and lecturer, I have gained a keener awareness of students' personal development needs - which I consider one of my greatest strengths. I previously helped design and then deliver a 9 unit training program (IT and Customer Service) which was rigorously reviewed by City & Guilds and accredited to Level 2. I found it an exhilarating phase and the transition from training to teaching was not a calculated decision; however I have grown as a lecturer – achieving a Grade 1 in the college's last OFSTED inspection. These experiences have helped me develop my organisational, administrative and some research skills, furthermore, strong communication and interpersonal skills are further strengths, essential in my current role and will be needed during this programme. I recently completed both paper and online personality tests and the strengths, values and characteristics matched what I was told about my personality. The result of the questionnaire is that of a type of Introverted Sensitive Personality; the dominant traits - reliability, trustworthiness and dependability also a preference for clearly defined roles/responsibilities so that activities and progress can be monitored/evaluated in tangible ways. My preference is to engage in two-way activities with opportunities to discuss or collaborate in small teams, rather lecture-style learning environments. Also, I generally prefer to work out how to handle a d...... half of a paper ...... The most difficult and time-consuming task was trying to adhere to the counting guidelines words. Reflecting on this process I can now understand the WBS team's purpose of asking candidates to propose a title, providing a rationale for that title and setting clear objectives is to let candidates know every aspect of the target award. Having to critically examine my weaknesses and threats to completing the WBS 470 negotiated work-based learning project, then research, plan and schedule the modules; anticipating the necessary resources and available opportunities means undertaking that module much more informed and equipped to succeed. Completing this unit has changed the way I approach future tasks as I am now acutely aware of the importance of planning in a structured and defined way and has fundamentally changed the way I view CPD.Word Count: 528
