Topic > The meaning of Christian humanism - 1699

Thessalonians 4:1-3 says, “Finally, brothers, we have taught you how to live to please God, just as you are living. Now we ask you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus to do it more and more, because you know what instructions we have given you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. It is God's will that you be sanctified." During my time at Saint Joseph College I was able to learn a lot by participating in the core program. While I learned a lot from all of my major lessons, there were a few where I found myself struggling to find how they related to me in my daily life. Core Nine was hands down the easiest class to relate to. I like to believe that I am a religious person. I am proud of the fact that I talk to God every day, have a very healthy relationship with him, and do everything I can to live my life the way he intended me to live. Even though I don't go to church every Sunday, I always make time to read my daily bread and my daily praise. So taking this class and being able to discover more about the truth about the meaning of life from a religious perspective kept me focused throughout the semester. Christian humanism can mean many different things. The meaning of the term can vary depending on your outlook on life and how you interpret the information. After analyzing my previous beliefs and all the information I gathered from core nine, this is what I was able to find. What Christian humanism represents to me is simply that God is most pleased with people when they put Him first and live a righteous life because it is the right thing to do, not because we believe that living by His word will give eternal life in Heaven. I believe this for many reasons; one of the five...... middle of paper...... Jesus gave his life so that we could all have a second chance. I am grateful that I am blessed to have the ability to seek an answer and follow the right steps on my own. But with this choice comes great wisdom, we impact our communities in more ways than most of us are aware, a big reason why I am happy I was able to attend Saint Joseph College and have the opportunity to see teaching life from a religious point of view. even non-religious point of view. After completing Core nine I was able to connect a lot to my old beliefs along with what I have recently learned, I feel much more confident in my relationship with God and I feel like the course has helped me tie up a lot of loose ends . It also helped me understand Christian humanism and why it is so important to build that foundation with God so that we can impact the world in the best way possible..
