Essay on Executive Program and the Shadow 2014 Walt Disney once said, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." What are aspirations? Aspirations are ambitious desires. For example, when I become a woman, I aspire to become a corporate lawyer. A corporate lawyer practices law limited to the legal affairs of a company. Corporate lawyers advise people on how to handle business concerns while staying within the margins of legality. They also defend clients who find themselves the subject of lawsuits or criminal charges arising from their business activities. A corporate lawyer might be in private practice representing many business or corporate clients or employed by a company to work exclusively on their behalf. Corporate lawyers specialize in multiple aspects of the law and how it affects their business. This can include contracts and negotiations, financial and tax law, code compliance, intellectual property, bankruptcy, financial reporting and a whole host of other specialisms. I plan to become a corporate lawyer, achieve short-term career goals, lawyers are useful to society in various ways, participating in the Shadow an Executive 2014 program will help me make decisions about my career and spend time with an individual in my field of practice work will also help me learn more about the law. While working as a corporate lawyer, my plans are to become an expert at what I do, develop friendships with my colleagues, learn how to attract more business to the firm, work to the best of my ability, and to build my brand years after understood the basics of the law and perfected my craft. By embracing these skills I will help create a better, well-rounded lawyer in myself. My decision to pursue… middle of paper decisions… and spend time with a person in my line of work will also help me learn more about the law. Job shadowing offers students the opportunity to gain experience from other employees, observing their work and learning on the job. It helps people gain a deeper understanding of the work environment, its demands, stress and possible avenues for growth. Supporting an expertise in your field of interest has its advantages. Such benefits include; networking, getting answers to any questions you may have, and first-hand knowledge of your field of work. By combining experience, you can help jump-start your career faster. Walt Disney previously said, “If you can dream it, you can make it happen.” Law has always been a career choice of mine since my teenage years. I also believe, like Walt Disney, that my dreams will come true because I will have the courage to pursue them.
