You are wondering if you and your family should get a flu shot/vaccine. Well, you should before it's too late. Little do you know that someone might end up having the flu or maybe you might have it too. In June 2009, the World Health Organization stopped counting cases and declared the outbreak a pandemic. The symptoms of swine flu are similar to those of the average seasonal flu. It causes fever, sore throat, cough, headache, tiredness, vomiting, ammonia and even death. Particularly dangerous are the elderly, pregnant women and newborns. It is very important to protect ourselves from germs. Wash your hands before and after contact with animals and sick people. Wash our hands regularly throughout the day. You may not know who has swine flu or just a cold. Vaccination is helpful in relieving symptoms, but it can also be dangerous for people with allergies. Although it is very rare for a human to infect another human with swine flu, but it has happened before. Also in June 2009, a new deadly virus epidemic occurred. This new H1N1 includes genes from the seasonal human virus found in a North American bird. Winter was beginning and it involved the introduction of new pigs into the farms. Studies have shown that 30% to 50% of the pig population has signs of H1N1 infection. The North American bird also has avian influenza. While it is not exactly the same as swine flu, they are very similar and have the same symptoms. Avian influenza is routinely detected in wild birds in North America. It occurs from time to time. This virus has been associated with disease and death in humans mainly in Asia, Europe, the Pacific, the East and North America. Swine flu is deadly and humans can contract the disease. Swine flu does not normally infect humans... middle of paper... in southern Mexico there was a large amount of swine flu. 6. Coughing and sneezing was a crime when there was flu. there were posters everywhere, especially in the bathrooms, explaining what to do when you sneeze and cough, make sure you bring hand sanitizer with you in case any germs got passed on from others. Even when you use the bathroom for safety reasons. The bathroom/toilet is a very dirty place. You don't know what kind of germs can live there. 7. People are finally getting the flu vaccine. Many people didn't even get the flu shot because they thought it was a waste. Approximately 18 million doses were wasted in the year 2005-2006. So next time you get sick. Go to your doctor and see what's wrong. Maybe it could be something serious, you never know. Always carry hand sanitizer with you to keep germs away and get your vaccinations as recommended.
