The play “Othello, The Moor of Venice” by William Shakespeare, tells the story of Othello's tragic fall. In this play, love, loyalty and honesty are the most important emotions that make the world thrive, and when these are questioned or lost, chaos takes over. Othello has been led to believe the worst about his wife Desdemona. Then Othello becomes corrupted by jealousy and takes that emotion to the extreme. The truth is revealed too late, and due to Othello's actions, the only way he can restore his honor is with his own death. The revenge and jealousy shown in "Othello" lead to this tragic ending, but when the truth comes out and Othello realizes that he killed Desdemona for something she didn't do, he dies to regain his honor, but is unable to handle the matter. who just killed his innocent wife. His redemption at the end of the play restores much of his honor, but his actions do not compare to the action Desdemona took, when all she ever did was good towards Othello.
