The abuser is unable to realize what is at stake. Family, friends and/or work, nothing matters to an alcoholic. It is not until the individual is able to recognize the harm they have caused. However, it is not too late for someone to take a stand for their loved ones and intervene. Family and friends can intervene and shout at their loved one and ask them to get help. However, people who seek help after detox don't always stay sober because they are afraid of the emotional roller coaster they encounter. They have not yet learned the skills to deal with their afflictions. Unless they have entered a rehabilitation program that provides training, the individual regresses and returns to their habits. Yes, I firmly believe that excessive alcohol consumption can turn into addiction. Yes, I believe there are countless mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, aunts and uncles who are dying from this addiction. It destroys not only the alcoholic, but also their families. Science claims that alcohol kills brain cells just like drugs do. This leads to individuals with a tendency to have outbursts when intoxicated. I'm not in the right state of mind. There is a saying "it's so easy to pick up a bottle, but so hard to deal with your problems". Another way to look at drinking is
