Topic > Climate change: pros and cons of global warming

“Climate change will force the displacement of populations” by Oli Brown says melting glaciers will increase the risk of flooding. Oli Brown works for the Office of Human Development Report. Melting glaciers not only add water to the ocean, but also lose their effect on the sun's rays. Some US states would be under water or flooded. For example, Florida, New York and New Orleans would be the most affected states. If sea levels rise, people will have to move inland. While reducing greenhouse gas emissions appears to work to stop or slow global warming, it wouldn't have a huge impact. The CO2 filling the air has already become too much for trees to remove from the atmosphere. This doesn't mean we have to give up, but rather work even harder to save animals and the Earth. Planting trees would provide more oxygen, and those trees would also absorb the CO2 flowing through the air. Maybe another solution that would at least help would be to try not to use the car as much as possible. Cycling every now and then would do that
