Topic > The pros and cons of overpopulation - 1749

The cities stretch for miles with no greenery and are overcrowded, the streets look disgusting because there are so many cars on the road that pollute the atmosphere and if the population increases there will be more cars driving on roads which will cause even more air pollution into the atmosphere, meaning plants and other species will die as the atmosphere will be so toxic or could potentially introduce new diseases or cancers. Wild animals could also gradually become extinct and extinct due to environmental destruction because humans would destroy their habitats and also due to overhunting of animals. Hunting animals is a very popular activity to do and if the population is larger, more people will kill animals which is another factor that will cause the gradual extinction of wild animals. Siberian tigers have been classified by the IUCN as endangered. There are approximately 300 Siberian tigers left in the wilds of regions of China and North Korea and the factors that are affecting the lives of these tigers are due to the capture, hunting or killing of tigers by humans and the loss of habitat due to humans constructing additional buildings or cutting down trees to use for vital everyday things such as fences, buildings, shelves, desks and books. Overpopulation would also start to affect many other animals because more trees and land would be used, destroying their habitats and there would also be a greater number of hunters. Overpopulation will also have repercussions on the environment because, due to the scarcity of natural resources, people will create more plastic than ever. Today, plastic is used in everyday items such as plastic packaging, bags and bottles due to the lack of natural resources. These plastic items are thrown into landfills, rivers, beaches and forests every day
