Jordan TroccoliPeriod 515 March 2015Kurt Cobain's Journey of LifeOn February 20, 1967, a man many called an alternative rock legend was born in Aberdeen Washington, his name is Kurt Cobain . As a child Kurt grew up in a small logging town with his mother Wendy Cobain and his father Donald Cobain. Growing up was difficult for Kurt Cobain as his parents constantly fought. At the age of nine, Cobain's parents filed for divorce and Cobain decided to live with his father, Donald. Just a few years after the divorce, Kurt's father remarried Jenny Westeby. Kurt disliked Jenny because he believed that his father had always been on his side and loved Jenny's children more than his own, Kurt. At the age of thirteen his Uncle Chuck had given him a gift that would not only take his mind off unwanted worries and depression. , but they will also soon lead him to the creation of his band Nirvana. Unfortunately in his late teens Kurt had started experimenting with various drugs. After living with her fathers for some time, she decided to move from one relatives' house to another, and then soon moved to the house of her mother and her boyfriend, and soon-to-be husband Pat O'Connor. Unable to stand his stepfather, Kurt decided to sleep wherever he could from 1984 to 1985. As Kurt went through high school, he began to drink more and take drugs more often. In his senior year he decided to drop out of high school due to bullying from students because he chose art and music over sports (rollingstones.com). Then he met and soon became friends with Buzz Osbourne, a member of the local band “The Melvin's” who Kurt had previously listened to and attended at their concerts and also introduced him to bands like the “Sex Pistols”. Although he was dead, he wanted to let his wife and daughter know that he loved them and thanked his fans for being so loving and supportive of him and Nirvana. To this day, Kurt Cobain is still alive as many teenagers and many other age groups continue to listen to him, and some consider Kurt to be an influential person in the music industry.
