Walking alone downtown in a new city without friends or family was a tough experience for me, especially at midnight when I arrived at 1.30 in the morning. However, the first thing I was thinking of saying was that I wasn't the only one in this place who was afraid. Therefore, this type of technique, which gave me power and endurance, was my first step to face many challenges in a new country. For example, when I was walking alone on the street, I kept telling myself that I was still surrounded by many people even if I didn't know them, and that we are all human beings, so there is no such thing as a strange creature. Also, as I know from the information I read in some books, the human brain always tries to avoid the real situation where the human can't believe it. This was my first gift from my brain when it released a large amount of the hormone melatonin, responsible for my constant drowsiness. Therefore, I slept more than 12 hours a day, which helped me relax my mind from thinking about my situation or being in a new country without family. However, our techniques and brains sometimes don't want to work with humans for a short time when this happened, my culture shock appeared. After arriving in the United States, I asked at the airport how to get back to my home on the same day. Coming from a small town in Saudi Arabia makes a huge difference compared to being in a noisy city, San Francisco. I was on my way to the King George Hotel in downtown San Francisco at midnight on Saturday when I got my first culture shock when I saw many events in one place for the first time. The worst thing was that I didn't speak basic English at that time. As I was on my way, I was stopped by a strange man who seemed to be in an anomalous situation... middle of paper... variety and challenges. Finally, the movement towards a divergent country, culture and customs. they are a valuable experience in my life for many reasons. The first value of this experience has formed me as an autonomous person. For example, in the past I relied on my family for many things, however, after this action I had a lot of knowledge to manage and control my life. Also, my family believes in my decision and opinion more than before. Also, I have the ability to communicate with many people from many different countries after having this experience. Being in a new country opened my mind to many different cultures which helped me develop my communication skills. To illustrate this point, in my class we have international students from China, Korea, America, Italy and so on, so this allows me to communicate with and learn about many cultures. Listen .
