goals which is an acronym for specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and timely. Smart goals should be clear goals with a specific end result, that can be measured and tracked, have specific actions needed to achieve the goal, have a time limit, and be a realistic goal for the individual. When referring to SMART goals, I set a goal of having a GPA of 3.7 or higher by the end of the fall semester. My goal as a whole was to become more self-aware by practicing different strategies to evaluate and discover which learning styles, learning habits, and thinking patterns work most effectively. To accomplish this goal, I said I would start, and I did, working on an assignment the day it was assigned for at least 30 minutes, making tabs on the notes I took that day each time I received notes, and that I would have all the study materials for a test ready 3 days before the exam. I have not received my final grade for any class yet, but I will know I have reached my goal when I have a GPA of 3.7 or higher. I believe that every student should achieve, in one way or another, some part of every student's definition of success, to ensure that the student is well-rounded. To achieve each of the definitions of student success, a student should use the SMART goal method to ensure that he or she will achieve success in every way possible. I still don't know for sure if I have already achieved my goal, but
