Supermarket Survey Report To: Chief Executive Officer Introduction I have conducted market research on a variety of people, which supermarkets they prefer to shop at, why and which supermarket extras they use. I asked 10 people living in different areas of the country in my questionnaire: I asked 6 females and 4 males. 1 of them was between the ages of 20 and 30, 3 people were between the ages of 30 and 40, 4 of them were between the ages of 40 and 50, 1 person was between the ages of 50 and 60 years old and 1 person was over 80 years old.Field ResearchThe first and second questions I asked were about gender and age. (Above) The third question I asked was how many times they visited a supermarket per week. 2 people said 1 time a week, 6 people said 2 times a week and 2 people said they went 3 times a week. Next, I asked the question, “Which supermarket do you shop at the most?” The response was quite mixed. Tesco was the most popular supermarket with 5 in 10 people choosing to do the majority of their shopping there. 2 people chose Sainsbury's, 1 person chose Asda, Booths and Aldi respectively.[IMAGE]I think Tesco was the most popular supermarket as it is closest to where I live. I addressed the questionnaire to people who live near me. This shows that Tesco is the most popular supermarket. Smaller supermarkets like Netto and Kwiksave were unpopular among my interviewees. The next question I asked was, “How much do you spend at the grocery store each week?” The response was mixed. 2 people said they spent £0-£50, 4 people said they spent £50-£100, 3 people said they spent £100-£150 and 1 person said they spent £150-£ 200. This question could be related to how much people earn, because the more people earn the more they can spend in supermarkets.[IMAGE]This shows that most people spend between £50 and £100 every week at an average price
