It is obvious that these children need a male role model and that children raised by single parents tend to suffer academically and socially. However, absent fathers are surrounded by a negative aura and it is necessary to take this negativity into account in the process. Involving these absent fathers is a great idea, but the details of involvement need to be discussed further. The debate should, therefore, shift from whether fathers should be involved to how they can be involved. The change in perception will see the successful implementation of the program in a way that will benefit children in the long term
