Believe that all members of society have faced poverty at some point in their lives. This is supported when he refers to how he thinks one can break free from being poor. Brahmstedt states, “The poor of civilization, of which we have all been a part at one time in our lives, are proud and work hard until financial independence frees them from the category” (Brahmstedt 67). This can be considered a mistake because one would not agree with Brahmstedt's point, believing that not all poor people are proud and hard working as some people are poor because they chose to be affiliated with drugs. This argument could have been formulated better if Brahmstedt had not generalized all of society into behaving in the same way
