I need to develop self-esteem, which can lead me to self-confidence. As President Obama's famous political slogan, I would adopt my "Yes, I can." Developing skills for business leadership is one of the modules I am following in my MSc programme. I personally see it as an interesting module, which helped me identify my problems and know the best ways to address them so that I am prepared to face the competitive global market. Following the knowledge gained through this module, I applied the SWOT analysis on myself as explained by Porter (1980). It helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses and also identify both in an open opportunity as an HR professional. CONCLUSION Williams, Woolliams and Spiro (2012 p5) state that reflective writing is new to most students. I felt they were right because I had never thought about or written a reflective essay until I was asked to write this assignment. It's a new idea, which made it difficult for me, but as I reflected on it, I realized how important it is to be a thoughtful person.
