My overall learning experience during my preceptorship rotations has been amazing. The first day I walked into the emergency room for my shift, my anxiety was through the roof and I was very nervous. I felt like I knew nothing and it was a completely new environment that I'm used to. At this point I feel very comfortable in the environment and feel that I have acquired the knowledge to be a competent nurse in practice. I owe much of the success I have had in the ED to my preceptor Sam. He was really great and very patient with me when I was trying to learn something. He really pushed me every day to feel confident and comfortable caring for patients on my own. I have acquired extensive knowledge of skills, procedures, policies, documentation,
