With fraternity houses being called "rape factories", this should be enough of a shock to initiate some sort of action against these young men. Most college infractions are considered just that: simple student-on-student infractions. When in reality these situations need to be addressed above campus security and the police. Because excluding individuals from the equation is simply not enough. There will always be another to replace them. When we talk about closing problematic houses, the issue of their simple clandestinity comes to light. What people need to see, doing so is just as dangerous, if not worse. If all else fails, keep specific homes under surveillance and/or probation until they are deemed worthy of independence. Going underground puts these abusers even further out of reach. Changes need to happen within individuals and supported by their peers. Stop teaching young adults how not to be raped and/or assaulted and blaming victims for not being careful enough and start teaching young adults to fully respect each other despite gender, color or background
