The concept of time travel is one that often twists the minds of many. The hope is alive in the hearts of many to go back in time and wander with the dinosaurs, or travel forward to the year 3404. The following research paper concerns time travel and contains a collection of information on wormholes, ideas and possibilities of traveling back and forth in time, the concept of the speed of time and black holes. Space is often depicted as a two-dimensional plane, but in reality space has length, width, height and even time. Time causes space to become a four-dimensional realm. Nothing is flat or solid, including space. It has cracks, voids and wrinkles. Imagine that you are driving in a car. If you drive in a straight line without veering left or right, you have one dimension. If you veer left or right, you create another dimension, making it a two-dimensional guide. If you're driving on a curvy mountain road, you're not only veering left and right, but also up and down, gaining and losing altitude. When this happens, a third dimension is added, but time creates a fourth. Time makes you have a fourth dimension: length, width, height and time. Stephen Hawking is a physicist and cosmologist who has believed in time travel his entire life. Could he perhaps have proven that time travel is possible with his explanation of wormholes? In space, masses that exert pressure on different parts, creating curvatures that can join twice with one passage. This can be easily understood by thinking of the curvature as a sheet held by two people. If you place a baseball on the paper, it will roll towards the center, forming a curve at this point. When this happens, something called Einstein-Ro is formed...... middle of paper......everyday-myths/time-travel.htm>.National Geographic Kids.
