It is a proven fact that there are billions of people in the world who go hungry every day. It is happening not only in developing countries but also in developed countries. There are programs developed to help people who are undernourished or in need of assistance feed themselves or their families. The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) helps people in developing countries. Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a program used here in the United States to help low-income pregnant women and their young children. They offer additional nutrition and education.
