Let me tell you something. In 1970, the Gray Wolves had a population of 250,000. But now, due to mass wolf hunting, the number has dropped to 500. Hello everyone. Today I would like to speak on behalf of the Wolf Conservation Center about the importance of wolves and why they should be protected. Wolves are too often a misunderstood creature, instead of showing fascination with them we always fear them, which is exactly the opposite of what we should be doing. Wolf society is just like ours, ordered by rank, defined by trust, and full of emotion. We are more like them than we think. Except they get kicked out and we don't. In many parts of the territory where they are found, all types of wolves are persecuted for killing livestock. As a result, humans have been killing wolves for years, and because of us, their numbers are declining by the thousands. Studies show that wolves play a significant role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and may even help prevent some of the effects of climate change.
