Members of my team and I received information that a man called Bob Butcher, president of the "England for the English" movement was planning to cause disruption at the official opening of a new mosque in Ealing on 19 April 2014. Bob is a man well known to the police, he has a number of convictions for serious assault. Ted Towser, who was recently Bob Butcher's number two, contacted me and told me that Bob had something "serious" in mind and wanted nothing to do with it and was willing to provide more information about the plans by Bob. On April 14th I was told that Ted was found lying in the street at 3am that morning and was unconscious in hospital, he had been seriously assaulted, he had what appeared to be handcuff burns on his wrist, deep lacerations on his back that appeared to be wounds by a knife and had been shot in both knees. Bob was missing and was believed to be trying to leave the country using a network of connections sympathetic to his movement. On April 14, 2014 at 2:06 pm, my team members and I conducted a crime scene investigation in Bob's garage which required us to recover evidentiary items of potential forensic importance from a crime scene and submit them to the laboratory for further analysis. These forensic analyzes of physical evidence may have provided answers to a number of important questions. The effective recovery of physical evidence is crucial to the success of the subsequent investigation. During the investigation the following elements were recovered: Date/Time Seized bag No. Exhibit no. Description 4/14/14 1420 TWS0102 EA/1 One (1) Black Pants14/4/14 1423 S00640994 EA/2 Two (2) Cases14/4/14 1428 S00640995 EA/3 One (1) ALDEASA Receipt14.... .. middle of paper...... I think and my team did well as we recovered some crucial evidence and tried to work well as a team, however, as explained above, there is no room for error when is about giving evidence in court.ReferencesExploreforensics.co.uk, (2014).
