The focus of this particular sonnet is clearly the lover. For this reason, many people's first assumption will be lust. When you look closer, though, you see more of how she describes her lover. “Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often its golden complexion is dimmed; And each fair after another sometimes declines..." This quote, plain and simple, informs him that he is not perfect and has his flaws, but she loves him anyway.
