While these policies also attempt to motivate the integration of Native Americans into mainstream U.S. society, they primarily focus on ensuring that Native people are independent on their respective reservations. An example of public policy that reflects cultural relativity is the Indian Reorganization Act which led to the provision of compensation to Native people for the loss of land and property.
