Thomas was not the bravest but he maintained his respect towards Colonel Shaw even though he was treated badly. The private journey was the bully in this film and was the one that had the most impact in the film. As for Colonel Shaw, he made the major change from being the soldier of the army to being the leader of the army. They were all defeated, and Thomas, Private Trip, and Colonel Shaw died. They made history but we still believe they were the bravest men during the war.
