I met a lot of people in that first year, but I wouldn't get to the point where I could call many of them friends, at least not yet. I had probably only made two or three friends in the first year, but they weren't really the kind of people I was used to or had befriended before. They were a little nerdy and I guess I was too, but I also liked sports and stuff like that. After I made it through freshman year and made a few friends, people started noticing me more.
