Should we miss the opportunity to travel into the world of children? One of the best ways to do this is to read children's books. We have numerous children's books that cover similar topics, but in others they are different from the years published. “The Little Match Girl” by Hans Christian Andersen and “Ladder to The Moon” by Maya Soetoro-N G, illustrated by YuYi Morales. Both of these books were about family love, hopefully in life, with mutual sympathy and sharing. It has a similar message, but is different in many ways. “The Little Match Girl” by Hans Christian Andersen published in December 1845. This book was about the winter in New York, there was a little girl who sold matches to make money for her father. It was the day before the new year; everyone around her has enough food and a welcoming family to celebrate the season. No one paid attention to this little girl. He was wearing torn and ragged clothes and also had no shoes on his feet. It was so cold that he couldn't go home because he knew his father would be angry and scold him for coming back without selling any matches. Then he sat down on a street corner. She wanted to light a match to help her warm up, but she is afraid that her father will punish her by wasting the match. The climate remains colder; he decided to light a match. Every match is this girl's dream. He saw the big, warm iron stove, the food, Snow White, and the Christmas tree. However, as each match burns, the wonderful things in that light disappear. Finally he decided to light the last match and saw his grandmother. He said “Oh, take me with you! You leave when the match goes out; you vanish like the hot stove, like the delicious roast... in the middle of the paper ......these two books with different authors, different centuries of publication, different ways of creating history. It looks different, but somehow it's the same. Accordingly, I compare and contrast "The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christian Andersen and "Ladder to The Moon" by Maya Soetoro-N G, illustrated by YuYi Morales. These two books seem different, but they have the same problem, the same message for the reader. After comparing these two books together, I realized that the same message for this life is that familial love is really important in Peeson's life. Our family members have also passed away, but we are still family and we miss each other. On the other hand, hope is also one of the motivations of our life. No matter who, what, when, where or why, we still have to keep our dream in mind and never give up like these two girls in two different stories.
