Many teachers believe that cell phones should not be in the classroom because they have several disadvantages. An example would be a student who uses a cell phone in class has no intention of listening or paying attention to the teacher. This student has a short attention span and cares more about socializing than his education. Cell phones can be very harmful; they can invade people's privacy and can also be used as harassment or bullying. The use of cell phones is creating a big problem especially when they are used in school. When a cell phone rings in class, it not only disturbs the class but also interrupts everyone's concentration. Students can use cell phones to exchange homework or answers during an exam or in class. Teachers want to see what level each student has achieved by giving them work and exercises to do, but if they don't try they won't get far in life. It is scientifically proven that people over the age of 30 cannot hear high-pitched sounds, so now they have deliberately created acoustic ringtones for teenagers so that teachers cannot hear them. So cell phones allow students to cheat on exams, bully classmates, and call the wrong people. For this reason, many teachers want cell phones to be banned in schools or at least for a set of rules and regulations related to the problem to be enforced. On the other hand, there may also be advantages to having cell phones at school, such as emergency calls. Our parents should be able to feel safe knowing that they can keep tabs on their children by calling them at any time. And they are very useful when students are moving around or after school, for example in afternoon school activities or pick-up times. A parent's worst nightmare is not knowing where... middle of paper... bullying and harassment will cause.
