Fitness & TrainingUnfortunately I got injured before starting this course. I produced fluid on my hip and used crutches for a month and a half. I was diagnosed with severe hypermobility syndrome and the specialist advised me to refrain from high-impact activities, such as running. Therefore, I was unable to complete this program on my own. However, I planned it as if I were actually participating in it. Also, when it comes to evaluation, I selected a student to analyze her program. The race I chose for my training program is the 200 meters. I think I have an above average level of fitness, my physical activity consists of 20 hours of swimming per week. I also follow a special athlete's diet, I eat a lot of carbohydrates such as bread and pasta, I am also reducing chocolate, chips and anything else fatty. Equally important, I try to consume at least 2 liters of fluids per day to keep water levels high and to ensure I don't get dehydrated. I have had many injuries and health problems in the past. I'm currently recovering from a hip injury, so I'll have to be very careful to make sure I don't injure it again, whilst taking part in the training programme. Also, I'm double jointed, which means I can't extend my joints, so I can extend them more than the average person. This means I have to be very careful because if I extend them too much, I can cause serious problems with my joints. My goal, which I want to achieve over the next 5 sessions, is to improve my reaction time, speed and fitness. I will do this by using my skills and doing interval training. My specific goal at the end of my training program is to run the 200 meters in 30 seconds, my time currently is 31 seconds. My specific goal for fitness testing is the 30 meter sprint 5.
