Christina Rossetti grew up in London, England with her three brothers. She grew up in a religious family which greatly influenced her writing. Growing up, Christina was exposed to her parents' views and wealthy lifestyle. He didn't know much about other people and their beliefs. When she began to fall in love, her beliefs prevented her from following her heart. Christina based her love life on her family's religious beliefs and was unable to express her feelings to those she loved. Christina Rossetti expressed feelings in her poems about the absence of love throughout her life. Rossetti was born in London, England. She was accompanied by her mother, father and three brothers. When he was young, his father became fatally ill with cancer and could not work. Rossetti and his mother opened their own school to help support the family once his father became ill. When Christina was growing up, she was never exposed to the poor lifestyle and was mostly exposed to the richer side of life. When she was little, Christina never had good health. She always got sick and was never completely healthy. Since Rossetti was greatly influenced by her family's decisions, her poetry was also influenced by them. Since Christina's family was very religious, her poems reflected her father's beliefs. “For Rossetti, the imagination is subject to the will and wisdom of God.” (Glenn Page: 65). Mr. Rossetti loved God so much that Christina followed in her father's footsteps and loved God with all her heart. The Rossetti family was very religious, his father and mother reinforced all his religious beliefs. When Rossetti began to write, he began writing religious poetry. Christina Rossetti was a very successful poet who had a wide variety of poems. She grew up just as a normal girl would, who had a talent discovered at the young age of eighteen. Rossetti was greatly influenced by several chapters that happened throughout her life. When readers read her poetry, she has an amazing talent for making readers imagine what she was imagining when she was writing the poem. Christina based her love life on her family's religious beliefs and was not able to express her feelings to those she loved. Throughout her life she wrote poems ranging from love to death. Christina Rossetti expressed feelings in her poems about the absence of love throughout her life.
