He was courageous and ready to face any challenge that awaited him. That man was King Odysseus of Ithaca, a man who used his wits to get out of any situation. Odysseus' wise use of his wits helped him survive for 20 years on the perilous journey home. His wit was heroic, intelligent and he was highly respected. Odysseus proved to be heroic in countless situations. He wasn't afraid of anything. On his first trip on the long journey home, he was trapped in a Cyclops' cave and his men wanted to leave, because who wanted to stay in a monster's cave, but Odysseus decided to stay, because the Cyclops had tons of cheese that the his men could eat. When the Cyclops was sleeping, Ulysses' men had made a very large and sharp stick to blind him by gouging out his eye. After escaping from the Cyclopes, Odysseus and his men came across Circe's island and eventually ran out of food, so his men decided to go hunting. After a while, only one man returned saying that all the others had been transformed into animals by a witch. The man showed her where he lived and Ulysses went to get his men. Ulysses climbed a mountain, who knows how high, without a harness, and did not fall. After meeting Circe, she offered Odysseus that he didn't have to leave, but he had only come to pick up his men and go home, so Circe told him where he needed to go and pointed out monsters and areas to avoid on his journey. . After leaving Circe's island, which was not necessary, he went to the Land of the Dead, where Circe told him to find the blind prophet Tiresias.
