After escaping from the Cyclopes, Odysseus and his men came across Circe's island and eventually ran out of food, so his men decided to go hunting. After a while, only one man returned saying that all the others had been transformed into animals by a witch. The man showed her where he lived and Ulysses went to get his men. Ulysses climbed a mountain, who knows how high, without a harness, and did not fall. After meeting Circe, she offered Odysseus that he didn't have to leave, but he had only come to pick up his men and go home, so Circe told him where he needed to go and pointed out monsters and areas to avoid on his journey. .
