For the past 9 years, my family and I have been part of the parish of St. Martin of Tours. I have been attending San Martino di Tours since nursery school. For my senior year at SMT, I participated in many school activities such as: Nova Cane, attending Mass, Talent Show, 1743 Play, Stations of the Cross, Saints in Motion, Student Council, SMT Choir, Rosary Bead, Bake Sale, Santa Claus secret and countless others. However, my family also helps the school community. My family and I help the school community in many ways, for example: holiday donations, food drive, clothing drive and many more. Like Helen Keller's quote: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”, we work together to overcome many obstacles. The first activity is Nova Cane, which is when students from Villa Nova University volunteer to visit students from St. Martin of Tours to educate us about engineering. During this great after school activity, we do many desk sized projects which include; build bridges with straws, build a house with candy, create slime with simple chemicals and make delicious ice cream. I have been going to every Nova Cane project since sixth grade and enjoy every minute of it. The second activity is attending Mass, which is when teachers elect students to bring gifts to the altar or read readings during a school Mass. Likewise, I also participated in the Saints in Motion, the Rosary, the Stations of the Cross and the Heritage Mass. Saints on the Move is when students dress up as an assigned saint and tell a summary biography of the saint. The rosary is when Student Council officials, representatives and a few selected students form a rosary and pray as a school to Mary. The Stations of ...... half of the document ...... h of the councilor and the president on the provision of information to all council members including agendas, meeting minutes, assessments of activities and provision of information to teachers. The role of the Secretary is arduous; However, I give it my all and enjoy every minute. As mentioned, I have been attending St. Martin of Tours since kindergarten.
