Colleges select students they believe will thrive in their unique individual culture, and in some cases refer applicants to the most suitable neighbors. In a short amount of time universities have the ability to generate a coherent community in which many students become very patriotic about their institution telling everyone who will listen that, without a doubt, theirs is by far the best educational home of the world!Many will choose an extra curricular activity such as rowing or singing in the college choir as a counterbalance to recharging their batteries. The consequence of this lifestyle is very little time for anything else. But is this a difficulty? Many academics consider this environment valuable. However the University is a powerhouse under pressure with deadlines and expectations and many college gatekeepers have been concerned enough by the effects of stress on their young charges to seek medical attention.
