The Awyu-Ndumut languages ​​are divided into six languages, one of the six languages ​​spoken is the Papuan language. Approximately 35,000 individuals in the lowland area speak the Awyu-Ndumut languages. Only hundreds to thousands of individuals speak the Papuan language.
