#2 Death is perceived as a negative thing by most people in the world, although it is natural and inevitable. Every person who has ever lived has also died and so will everyone who lives. So why are people so afraid of it? Is it because death brings infinite darkness and the lack of something and someone? Or as others believe, is it because death is the permanent end of life? It must be that people fear death because it deprives us of the beautiful things that life brings such as feelings, emotions and perceptions, among other things. Thomas Nagel raised three problems with this irrational fear of death: 1- Something can only be evil or bad if someone is there to be displeased with it and in turn think so. How can death, or the deprivation of life, be considered a bad thing if there is no one present to oppose such deprivation? There must be a person who is actively sorry for the deprivation of life for him to be considered evil or bad.2- When someone dies, he no longer exists. How can this be considered a misfortune if there is a subject of that misfortune? Who suffers from this assumption ...
